Post Newsletter Nov 22

- 11/2/2022

Message from Post Commander

September and October ended with a bang.  Thanks to Jim Miracle and all the volunteers that made our OctoberFest and Halloween party such a success.  Our active membership is the best.  Without all of your help we could not enjoy all the fun things we do.

VFW Post 6827 is a very active Post.  There will be a lot going on in the next 2 months, be sure to refer to the Newsletter and our Facebook page for all the details.  The Military Ball will be on Nov. 12th.  Looking forward to seeing our ladies in all their finery.  See you at the Ball.

Membership is important to our growth.  If you have family or friends who are Veterans, ask them to become members of our Post.  We have a lot to offer.

Our elected Officers will be wearing our new shirts at our monthly meetings.  They will be easily recognized, they will be the guys and the gals in the navy blue polo shirts.  Our bartenders are also wearing their new shirts.  I’ve heard many nice comments regarding the new attire.

Happy Birthday United States Marine Corps.  On November 10th the Corps will be 247 years old.

I want to thank all of our members who participate in  our events.  You all help make VFW Post 6827 the Friendliest Post on the Coast.

Message from Auxiliary President

Do you feel it?  You know …. That spirit of growth that comes from mutual efforts to promote our community and Post.  From Sunday Bingo to the upcoming Military Ball, we have promoted excitement, fun, generosity and concern for our Veterans, Families and Community.

Sue Miracle did a great job with her Bake Sale that has been going on over the past few months.  She raised over $2200 for our Children's Christmas Party.  Thanks to all for supporting this effort by buying the delicious Cakes and Cookies.

Our Oktoberfest and Halloween Parties were huge successes.  Come Join Us, feel the spirit, share the joy.  Thanks to all who help to make VFW Post 6827 The Friendliest Post on the Coast.

Jim Miracle

President
